2021 Baccalaureate Ceremony

Baccalaureate Ceremony, 2021
Posted on 04/26/2021
Date:  May 30th
Time:  Seniors arrive by 3:30pm
Ceremony:  4:00pm to 5:00pm

Location:  Oak Meadow Bandstand

The Baccalaureate ceremony is fully developed by the LGHS Senior Class. It offers a quieter, more intimate opportunity to pause and reflect on this rite of passage and hear a faith leader and faculty member offer advice to the graduating class.

Los Gatos High is the only public high school in the area that still has a celebration like this to honor students of different faiths. It is a beautiful, reflective time for all the seniors and their families to come together the Sunday before graduation. As a celebration of students’ faith, the baccalaureate will include seniors sharing how faith has played an important part in their life as well as music being performed by seniors, poem readings, and a lighting ceremony all seniors can participate in.

All seniors are asked to come with a graduation gown and cap and arrive no later than 3:30 pm at the Oak Meadow Park bandstand. The Ceremony will start at 4 pm and end at 5 pm.  Bring a folding chair or blanket.  We will adhere to county COVID guidelines including social distancing and wearing a mask.
