Inappropriate Behavior Requiring Administrative Intervention
1. ASSAULT OR BATTERY OF ANY SCHOOL EMPLOYEE
The attempt to do bodily harm, unwanted intentional touching, or application of force to a staff member will not be
tolerated and may be subject to legal prosecution.
2. CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY TO ANOTHER PERSON, EXCEPT IN SELF-DEFENSE
The attempt to do or act of doing bodily harm, unwanted intentional touching, or application of force to another
student will not be tolerated.
3. POSSESSION OF A KNIFE, OR OTHER DANGEROUS OBJECT OF NO REASONABLE USE TO THE
Possession of a knife or any other object that has no reasonable purpose to be on campus and could be used to
harm or intimidate another student is prohibited on any school property or at any school sponsored activities.
4. REPEATED INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR THAT OTHER ATTEMPTS HAVE FAILED TO CORRECT
Depending on the nature of the offense and the number of interventions attempted to correct a Level I, II or III
offense, the offense will become a Level IV.
5. ROBBERY OR EXTORTION
Stealing someone else’s property through violence or intimidation or through the abuse of one’s status or position is
illegal and unacceptable at school or any school sponsored activity.
6. UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OR UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ANY CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
Possession or being under the influence of unauthorized drugs, alcohol, paraphernalia or substances represented to
be such, is prohibited on any school property or at any school activity.
CONSEQUENCES FOR LEVEL IV OFFENSES
FIRST OFFENSE: Three to five day suspension with a possible recommendation for expulsion
SECOND OFFENSE: Three to five day suspension with a possible recommendation for expulsion
SUBSEQUENT OFFENSES: Five day suspension with a mandatory recommendation for expulsion
Depending on the nature of the violation and the number of previous interventions, the house principal may
increase the level of the offense.
