We are pleased to announce that all district students now have G Suite for Education accounts which include a district Gmail address as well as Google Drive and Apps. These new email addresses will be used for district communication to students as well as accessing district technology such as Canvas. Many of our students are familiar with G Suite for Education from their middle school experiences. Students can now share files with their teachers and classmates, as well as more effectively to collaborate on assignments, submit work and communicate with each other. Our goal is to continue to refine technology tools for our students and ensure a safe and secure online environment, enhancing the learning experience for everyone involved.

Students can begin using their G Suite accounts today; login instructions are below. Please note, these accounts are part of the Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District’s network and as such fall under the rules of the Student Technology Agreement and all District Board policies. Students are expected to use their G Suite accounts in a responsible and professional manner for school related business only.

On August 4, your new login information for Canvas, Aeries and the school wireless will be activated. Please read the instructions below to access your accounts. 

Additionally, the district is moving to a Single Sign-On web portal for all district related online applications. This portal will ease student frustration regarding password management and program access.  Our goal is to launch this portal during the Fall 2017 semester. We will keep you informed as we move forward with this project.

To login to your G Suite account:

  1. Go to

  2. Click Sign In in the upper right hand corner.

  3. Enter your new school email address

    Your student email address will be in the following format
    <First three letters of Last Name><First  Name Initial><Last 4 digits of Student ID>

    For example: Diana Prince Student ID 123456  has the email address

    If your last name is three or fewer characters, use your entire last name.

    Click Next

  4. Enter your default password
    Your password is your birthdate in MMDDYYYY format.
    For example:  07282002

  5. Follow the instructions to change your password.

To login to your Canvas account AFTER AUGUST 4:

  1. Go to

  2. Your new username is your email address

  3. Your new default password is your birthday mmddyyyy

PARENTS - Please follow these instructions if you have not yet created a Canvas account to observe your student.

To login to Aeries AFTER AUGUST 4:

  1. Go to

  2. Choose the current year

  3. Your new username is your email address

  4. Use your current Aeries password or click the “forgot password” link and follow prompts using your email address

To login to the school wireless:

  1. Choose either shs-wifi or lghs-wifi

  2. Your new username is the part of your email address BEFORE  
    For example: Diana Prince Student ID 123456  has the wifi user name of prid3456

  3. Your new password is your birthday mmddyyyy
